This editorial series is the result of a creative experiment: pushing the boundaries of a single, iconic garment—the denim jean. As both the Art Director and Lead Stylist for this project, I wanted to explore the sculptural potential of denim by deconstructing its traditional purpose. Instead of treating the jeans as mere trousers, I used them as a raw material to draft entirely new silhouettes, transforming them into structured tops, avant-garde dresses, and abstract headpieces.

The studio environment allowed for a clean, focused aesthetic where the interplay of light and texture took center stage. I purposefully chose different denim washes—from deep indigo to pale light-blue—to see how their varying weights and structures responded to being „re-styled“ on the body. The model’s poses were directed to be clear and geometric, mirroring the architectural folds of the fabric. This project was about playing with what is already there: using a familiar product to create something unexpected, geometric, and abstract, proving that true art direction lies in the ability to see a new form within a classic staple.
