This personal series is a study of contrast and the raw geometry of a photographic set. My goal was to move away from the traditional „invisible“ studio setup and instead embrace the lighting equipment as an integral part of the visual composition. By intentionally including the umbrellas and stands within the frame, I transformed technical tools into powerful graphic elements that interact with the model’s form.
Captured in high-contrast black and white, the series focuses on the dialogue between light and shadow. Working exclusively with umbrellas as light shapers allowed me to experiment with how soft light can still create hard, architectural lines within a monochrome space. The model was directed to move naturally, allowing for a candid yet sculptural flow that perfectly complemented the static, metallic structures of the studio gear. This project is a celebration of the photographic process itself—turning the „behind the scenes“ into a clean, minimalist, and timeless piece of art.
