This series is an exploration of visual perception, where food photography meets fine art. What began as a conceptual study eventually evolved into a meticulously crafted food calendar, consisting of 13 unique color worlds. The core idea was to create monochromatic compositions where various types of a single ingredient—such as different lettuces—are paired with a „hidden“ counterpart of the same color, like a green apple. At first glance, the viewer sees a harmonious whole; only upon closer inspection does the subtle disruption reveal itself.

Working alongside a talented team of collaborators, we developed a concept rooted in strict geometry and symmetry. Each image is constructed within a precise grid, utilizing fundamental shapes—circles, triangles, and squares—to organize the organic chaos of nature into a structured masterpiece. This architectural approach allowed us to create a bridge between atmospheric storytelling and technical precision.

To ensure the products remained the focal point, we custom-designed three textured backdrops. The goal was to find the perfect balance: enough texture to provide depth, but subtle enough to let the individual textures of the produce shine. While the lighting remains soft and harmonious, it purposefully carves out the unique character of each ingredient. This project is a testament to the power of detail—making „much out of little“ and proving that the most impactful visuals are often those with the most complex, invisible conceptual work behind them.
