THE MONOCHROME BAR

This personal series is a visual exploration of flavor through the
lens of minimalist, monochromatic art direction. The objective was to translate the sensory experience of a cocktail—its taste, temperature, and ingredients—into a single, harmonious color world. Every frame is defined by a strict monochromatic palette where the beverage, its garnish, and the background merge into one cohesive visual statement.

Guided by a geometric and grid-based approach, I carefully paired each drink with a singular, descriptive element that embodies its unique character. Whether it’s the crisp green of a cucumber or the warm, golden citrus tones, every component follows a rhythmic, architectural arrangement. To capture the diverse textures of glassware and liquids, I utilized a hybrid lighting setup, alternating between sharp light edges for brilliance and soft gradients to enhance the drink’s volume. This project demonstrates how liquid geometry and color theory can be combined to create a sophisticated, modern bar aesthetic that feels both balanced and bold.
